Chest Acne Treatment

Although chest acne does not receive as much attention as facial acne, it is still very common in both men and women. However, chest acne is a little more prevalent in women as sweat can sometimes become trapped in cleavage. Sweat increases the occurrence of chest acne because it causes the pores to become clogged with oil.

There are things you can do to avoid getting chest acne. The best thing you can do is shower on a regular basis to remove sweat and oils from the chest area. It is also helpful to wear loose fitting clothing that is made from a light, breathable material. Tight clothing does not allow the skin to breathe and can trap in the oils that cause chest acne.

Chest acne is very common and often neglected. However, it is actually fairly simple to reduce or eliminate chest acne through a variety of different treatments.

Leave the mixture on for 15 minutes before rinsing it off with warm water. This treatment can be used anytime you want to reduce the extra oils that cause chest acne.

There is also a home treatment you can try if you beginning to develop scarring from chest acne. Mix 1 tablespoon of sour cream, 1 tablespoon of plain yogurt, and 1 tablespoon of oatmeal with lemon juice. Once mixed apply directly to your chest. Rise with warm water after 10 minutes. Try this treatment each week to help fade the appearance of scarring.
